At The Workspace Company, we require that any multimedia devices not in active use be securely stored in a locked and non-accessible area to ensure their protection. The insurance coverage we oBer remains valid for the entire rental period, as specified in the Machine List, including any potential extensions. This coverage terminates only when the rental period, along with any extensions, has oBicially ended.
The insurance provides unlimited coverage for the number of claims per device, oBering protection against direct physical damage to the equipment itself. However, this coverage does not extend to accessories, operating systems, third-party applications, or any data stored on the device.
Provided that the customer adheres to their contractual obligations, the insurance covers a range of risks, including but not limited to:
• Theft, fire, explosions, lightning strikes, electrical hazards, damage caused by emergency services, wind or storm damage, frost, water damage, crashes of aircraft or falling objects, building collapses, or collisions with foreign objects.
• Damage caused by mishandling or accidents.
There are certain exclusions, including damage resulting from manufacturing defects, wear and tear, cosmetic or aging issues, war, nuclear incidents, earthquakes, media restoration costs, or operational losses directly related to physical damage of the insured equipment. Additional exclusions include delays, loss of market share, usage loss, activity interruptions, cosmetic damage, intrinsic defects, bad faith, acts of terrorism, sabotage, intentional actions, improper device protection, machine breakdowns, government interventions, disappearances, nuclear activities, pollution, asbestos, earthquakes, computer viruses, and theft unless covered under specific conditions listed below.
Theft Coverage Details:

Theft is only covered in cases of forced entry (defined as the breaking, damaging, or removing of any lock or security system protecting the insured goods) and requires an oBicial report filed with the appropriate authorities. -
Theft from a vehicle is only covered if the insured items are stored out of sight, locked in the trunk, with all doors locked, windows closed, and alarm systems activated (if available). Additionally, during the night (between 10:00 PM and 5:00 AM), the vehicle must be parked in a private, secure location not accessible to the public. Vehicles like convertibles are excluded from this coverage. -
Theft in public places such as trains, stations, restaurants, or streets is only covered in cases of physical aggression, which must be reported to law enforcement authorities.
By adhering to these guidelines and ensuring that all necessary precautions are taken, customers can benefit from comprehensive insurance coverage, designed to provide peace of mind throughout the rental period.

The Controller has appointed the Processor to provide services involving the processing of personal data. -
The Processor agrees to comply with the obligations set out in this Agreement to ensure the protection of the personal data.
In the event of damage, the lessee must notify The Workspace Company or our designated contact person. At the same time, the lessee is responsible for submitting the completed damage report form along with an estimate for repair or replacement to The Workspace Company.
In the case of theft, the lessee must also submit a formal police report, including the complaint and the oBicial police interrogation report. The complaint must be filed within 24 hours of the incident. Without this police report, the insurance company will not provide compensation.
Compensation is provided as follows:

Repair costs, if the equipment is repairable. -
Replacement with an identical device in the case of theft or irreparable damage.
We require that customers ensure all devices are properly protected to minimize the risk of damage. Failure to use protective measures (e.g., a screen protector) may result in a denial of the claim by the insurance company or an increase in insurance costs.
